Joaldunak and cencerros

Joaldunak with their cencerros

The daily life of a friend of ours has just been featured on Spanish television, in “Destino España”. The series centres on immigrants who have moved to Spain, in Georgina’s case to set up a language school. Veronica and I stayed with her for three months in 2010, and the scenes in the video are so familiar that it seems as though it has been made just for us! We too chased the joaldunak down the streets of Ituren, ate talos and talked with Amatxi and Atauxi. We also improved our Spanish, which was the aim.

Thanks, Georgina, and congratulations on the video. ¡Volveremos!
