Many maps are now available for free on the Internet, thanks to the OpenStreetMap project. So I’ve been investigating which are the best for walking in the Pyrenees for hikers equipped with a GPS. One stands out above all the rest, Topo Pirineos 6.1. But it is not without faults and is best used in conjunction with the Alternativas Libres map which includes routing.
