I have visited the cave in the day, when it was empty, and at night, for the solstice. The two occasions were completely different. Although the cave was crowded for the solstice it was much more atmospheric.
The summer solstice celebration [dia de la brujas] is usually on the nearest Saturday to 21 June, which should make it Saturday 18 June 2011. [By the way, there are lots of other celebrations in the area. I particularly like the fire jumping in Arizkun, in the Baztan valley.]
As far as I can see there is nothing on at Halloween itself, although there is a series of conferences, split between Pamplona and Zugarramurdi 4-6 November. http://www.turismozugarramurdi.com/agenda/71/Akelarre:-la-historia-de-la-brujer%C3%ADa-en-el-Pirineo-%28s.-XVI-XVIII%29.-Jornadas-en-homenaje-al-Dr.-Gustav-Henningsen/

I've been to Zugarramurdi to visit the museum and the cave. I would love to attend the summer solstice celebration. When exactly is it? Do you know if there are any celebrations during Halloween?

Ondo izan,
