B&B at Fos

B&B at Fos

As far as I know there are still no food shops on the Pyrenean Way (GR10) between Bagnères-de-Luchon and Seix, seven days walking. So I was very pleased to hear that the Repos du Moine Bed and Breakfast in Fos is now offering a new service. If you ring them in advance (+33 (0)5 61 88 48 70) Robert and Christine will provide you with basic necessities at cost price.

I’ve been looking at their website and the B&B looks good and comfy. The reviews on Trip Advisor all speak of a warm welcome and a full English breakfast is available, even if you want an early start.

Robert comes from East Grinstead and Chris is from Brum. They’ve been in Fos for the last five years. “We love the space, the natural slow pace of life, the walking, skiing etc and, of course, the climate of the Pyrenees,” he says.

10% off

It isn’t everyday you’ll find an offer like this one. If you arrive at the door clutching a copy of my book If you only walk long enough: exploring the Pyrenees, Robert and Christine will give you 10% off the low-season rate. Worried about the weight? Bring the Kindle version, or simply a photocopy of the first page.
